The Monte-Carlo Polo Cup, held under the high patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, will take place from Thursday, July 2nd to Sunday, July 5th and it hinges on significant moments, at the heart of legendary Monegasque venues and exclusive sporting and mundane events, nestled in lush vegetation on the heights of the Principality.
An unusual and unique event in the Polo world:
On the model of the other sporting competitions held in Monaco, which build an international reputation, the Monte-Carlo Polo Cup has adapted this “sport of large spaces” to the uncommon geographic configuration of the Mediterranean area, including its steep landscapes.
Thus, the Monte-Carlo Polo Cup indulges in the luxury of a professional competition, ranked handicap 10, for which it invites international Team composed of high level players, on a field slightly shorter than usual.
A parade of the knights on the Casino Square, for the launch of the la Monte-Carlo Polo Cup, on Friday, July 3, sets the pace of the manifestation:
More than a sporting event, the Monte-Carlo Polo Cup is an occasion, for its guests, to experience the unique Monegasque way of life.
Therefore, the fortunate VIP guests of the tournament will have the pleasure to watch this parade, with a cocktail in the distinguished visitors’ gallery, either on the terrace of the Salle Empire of the Hotel de Paris, or on the terrace of the Café de Paris. Afterwards, they will meet the players and the other VIP guests at a lunch, at the Salle Empire.
Throughout the manifestation, a multitude of mini-buses will drive the guests back and forth between the Principality and the Domaine de Vire-Vent, on the Monegasque heights, in Saint-Martin de Peille.
The sporting competition which will be held on a luxurious private domain’s field, nestled in the Monegasque countryside:
The Domaine de Vire-Vent will offer to the participants of the Monte-Carlo Polo Cup an elegant atmosphere to attend the tournament. Thus, the audience will be able to watch the Polo matches, which will be played every day in the late afternoon, sitting comfortably under a tent along the field, fitted with “VIP areas”. A permanent catering service will provide a “lounge” atmosphere to this sporting and mundane event.
They will also be able to walk around and to relax at the VIP Village, located behind the field and articulated around a central marquee fitted with a lively bar. The VIP Village has been designed to offer to the visitors of the Monte-Carlo Polo Cup a “Leisure and Services” area, in line the Polo spirit and in communion with the Monegasque art of living.
On Saturday, July 4th, it will be the occasion to extend the festivities during a Team Party, with accents of Garden Party Chic on the field:
Everyone will have the possibility to watch the sunset in this luxurious natural setting, around a buffet dinner prepared by the Team of Metropole Monte-Carlo, before proceeding with a Clubbing evening, for which the Polo field will take the form of a dance floor under the starry sky animated by the Crew of Don’t Tell my Booker, present for the first time on a Monegasque Event.
Sunday, July 5th will provide the highlights of the sporting competition through a
Semi-final and a Final,
Interrupted by a elegant Hat Contest for the Ladies, under the presidency of the Monegasque Couture Chamberwhich will precede the Trophy ceremony.
In the pure Monegasque tradition, the Closing Evening of the Monte-Carlo Polo Cup, a Gala dinner in favor of “Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation”, will be held around the lagoon of the Monte-Carlo Bay and will offer to its attendees many happenings, including, as a preview for French Riviera, a fashion catwalk of the Hungarian “Couture” designer Madleine.
